Photography
Let these three principles guide photo selections. Using all three isn’t required, but strive to display up to two principles when making selections.

Lifestyle Library
Section titled “Lifestyle Library”When choosing lifestyle photography, select editorial photos that tell a story and are relevant to the associated content. Choose photos that focus on the subjects without excessive visual distractions. Be sure to include a diverse group of subjects when building your image libraries.

Home Library
Section titled “Home Library”When choosing images of homes, ensure that the architectural style reflects the area’s common style. The homes should appear to be actively lived in and may include families in the foreground.

Weather Library
Section titled “Weather Library”For weather events, we should use photos of the weather as it is happening or after the event. Larger scenes of neighborhoods or natural surroundings provide a more neutral experience for our viewers. When showing people, try to avoid emotional reactions that display stress, despair, and negative emotions.

What to avoid
Section titled “What to avoid”When selecting images, use these watchouts to help keep our photo selections on brand.
